Bio

My name is Marlene Murphy Schlicher, but I go by Murphy. My parents got my name, Murphy, from the Murphy Brown show, which is also my grandmother’s maiden name. I have been playing softball since I was 5 years old and started pitching when I was 10 years old. My first pitching coach was Gary Ray. I used to go to Bobbie Smith and I thank him for helping me to get to this point. I just recently started going to Tim Timmins and he already has taught me a lot. But mostly I thank my dad for most of my success.

I play high school softball at Katy Taylor, where I am now a Senior (Class of 2011). My favorite show is Big Brother. I would like to study Kinesiology. I have a very laid back personality and I would do anything to help people especially if they can’t help themselves. My family is amazing and I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world, I enjoy every time I get to spend with them. I also thank my teammates because the stealth is a great team.
