Bio
Hi my name is Madison Whatley, I was born in Houston,TX on August 22, 1996. I am a sophomore attending Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugar Land. I am a senior girl scout of San Jacinto Council, currently working on my final project to receive my Gold Award. I lettered in softball my freshman year playing predominately outfield.
I started playing softball at age 4, after my older sister took an interest. Both my sisters and I played softball for a number of years, but I am the only one that seriously pursued the sport. I played league ball at Sugar Land Girls Softball Association until I was eight. At nine I started All Stars during the summer, and by the time I was 11 I was on my first select team. I changed teams to the Stealth 14U about two years ago.
Last year, my freshman year, four other freshman and myself joined the varsity team. Having a young team, we were the "underdogs". We were one game away from going to play offs, but unfortunately we barely missed the cut.
In my free time I love spending time with my family, especially my two little nephews. And hanging out with my friends is definitely my favorite pass time. In school, my grades are very important. As an eighth grader at Sartaria Middle School, I was nominated by my science teacher to a receive a national award from The United States Achievement Academy in 2010. I also earned the Presidential Award for straight A's and good behavior throughout my middle school years. Last year I earned a mathematics award for Algebra I, and was seven out of nearly four hundred Algebra I students chosen to participate in the Fort Bend District's annual Algebra Bowl. In college I would love to study psychology and minor in Spanish.
