Bio
My name is Jamie Jelinek. I was born on August 28, 1996 in Greenville, South Carolina, but have lived in Houston, Texas almost all my life. My family is very supportive and I don't know what I would do without them. My mom has never missed one of my games , my dad loves to come watch me play as often as he can, and even my older brother, Jonathan can be very encouraging.
I started playing softball when I was 5 years old. When I was 9, I joined my first select team, Magic '96, as a left fielder, and in 2007 we took 4th in the USFA World Series in Panama City Beach, Florida. Since then, I have played multiple positions, such as shortstop, 2nd base, 3rd base and outfield for a couple different teams. I joined the 14u Sugar Land Stealth in September 2010 where I played mostly shortstop. Then I moved up to 18u Gold Stealth in the summer of 2011. Currently, I am a Sophomore at Ridge Point High School where I play on the varsity softball team.
School is also very important to me. I always try hard and give 100% in order to do my best in the classroom. After High School, I plan to attend college where I will hopefully get the opportunity to play softball at the collegiate level. I have had various ideas for what I would like to study in school. Engineering, Marine biology, political science and Law are all things that I have considered.
In my free time I like to go to the beach, travel, listen to music and just hang out with my friends.
