Bio

Hi, my name is Elise Dillow and I live in Sugar Land, Texas. I was born on Dec. 30, 1992 in Houston, Texas. I am currently a senior at Dulles High School- class of 2011 - and my GPA is 4.86. I am a member of the National Honor Society and have received Academic Excellence every year since my freshman year.

I’ve been playing softball for eight years. I play 1st base for the Sugar Land Stealth Gold select team and the Dulles High School varsity team. I have been on the varsity softball team at DHS since my freshman year and was chosen to be a team captain as a junior. As a sophomore I was the Defensive Player of the Year and as a junior I received the Most Valuable Player award and was chosen for 1st Team All District by the Fort Bend Sun. I had the "triple crown" in district 23-5A in 2010: highest batting average(.541), most RBIs (36), and most home runs (6).

I am a strong fielder, and as a 1stbaseman I rarely let a ball get past me regardless of the quality of the throw. I put 100% effort into every play. I am known for my long stretches, for digging balls out of the dirt, for executing double plays and for doing whatever is needed to get an out. I have a fast bat, good speed (home to 1st in 2.7) and I can also play 3rd base, shortstop and outfield. However I think my biggest strength is batting.

I also play volleyball and have been on the DHS varsity volleyball team since I was a junior. I was team captain of the freshman and JV volleyball teams. Also, I have been choosen to be one of the team captains for the varsity team this year. During my junior year on varsity, my team was a Regional Quarter Finalist.

I love to spend my free time hanging out with friends and family, reading and shopping. I like to watch Big Brother on TV with my family or the Bachelorette with my little sister and my mom. My other favorite shows are Smallville and Cake Boss. I love to watch Astros games with my dad.

Math and science are my favorite subjects in school. I prefer to go to college fairly close to home in Texas, Louisiana or Oklahoma. I haven't decided on a major yet but am interested in something where I will use my math or science skills.
