Bio
Hi! My name is Courtney White. I was born on May 13, 1996 in Houston, TX. I now live in Richmond, TX and I am currently a junior at Foster High School where I play both varsity basketball and softball. I'm an only child with two wonderful parents and a great extended family as well. My parents have always supported me in every sport that I've played, but now, it's all about softball. They've supported me throughout my whole softball journey, from going out of state to a tournament or just picking me up from practice. They've done it all and honestly I wouldn't be where I am today without them.
I started playing softball at the age of 7 and have loved it ever since. I switched to select ball at age 13 and was one of the original members of the 14U Sugar Land Stealth. Two years later, I moved up to the 18U Gold team. I've played many positions throughout the years including 1st base, left field, shortstop, pitcher and even catcher. My two favorite positions are 1st base and left field. As for my high school team, I was moved up to Varsity at the end of my freshman year. Before then, I had played on JV where we finished the season with a record of 24-0. This year, with a total of nine seniors, we're expected to go all the way to State!
School is definitely one of my top priorities and I take it very seriously. For the most part I'm a straight A student and I work hard to keep it that way. For each season of high school basketball and softball, I've received the Academic All-District award. I'm also a member of PALS (mentoring group), I participate in service chord by gaining service hours, and I hope to qualify for NHS my senior year. After high school, I definitely want to play softball at the collegiate level. I plan on studying Film Production in order to fulfill my dreams of one day becoming an actress.
Of course, there is much more to me than just softball. I love spending time with my family and friends. When I'm not playing softball, I like to go to the movies, go shopping, and I enjoy eating and texting. Another very important aspect of my life is Jesus Christ. I'm a firm believer and I know he guides me through life's obstacles.
